Bush And McCain: Photo-Op Friends Forever
March 6, 2008 on 12:10 am |At the White House today, President Bush will officially anoint Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) as his chosen successor with a carefully orchestrated photo-op. At noon, Bush will greet McCain “at the North Portico — a grand formal entrance at the front door” of the White House — before hosting a lunch for the senator in the private dining room. Afterwards, the two “will appear together in the Rose Garden for the official embrace.”
Here’s a trip down memory lane of Bush and McCain’s previous embraces:

As MSNBC’s Chris Matthews noted last night, McCain is “the man who represents the least change” from the failed policies of the Bush administration. With the President’s official blessing, McCain is now set to carry on his legacy in a “third Bush term.”
